Laura Overdeck is the Chair of Overdeck Family Foundation and the Founder and President of Bedtime Math, a nonprofit that ignites children’s love of math so they will embrace and excel at it.
Before focusing on education reform, Laura worked at Stanford Research Institute, consulting to high-tech ventures. She specialized in building mathematical models for major telecom companies to forecast the market potential of new products. She also wrote and evaluated business plans for startup ventures.
This entrepreneurial spirit and measurement of impact also shape the work of the Overdeck Family Foundation, which funds education innovations for birth through grade eight in math, science and other subjects.
Laura holds a B.A. in astrophysics from Princeton University, an M.B.A. from The Wharton School of Business, and an honorary doctorate from Stevens Institute of Technology. She is a trustee of Princeton University, Liberty Science Center, and ThePingry School, and serves on the advisory boards of Khan Academy, Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth (CTY), and Stevens Institute of Technology.
Laura was born and raised in New Jersey, and lives here with her husband, John, and their three children.
